Training of trauma orthopaedists from the leading centers of the Russian Federation and the countries of the near abroad based in Adult Orthopedic Department

On May 21-22, 2018 surgeons from the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Russian Ilizarov Scientific Center «Restorative Traumatology and Orthopaedics”, Kurgan paid a visit to the Adult Orthopedic Department.

Ilizarov Center specialists studied a course of modern methods of the hip joint endoprosthesis replacement,including SuperPATH minimally invasive access.

This visit was already the seventh educational one in succession during the first six months of 2018. The department staff taught colleagues from different cities of Russia and the near abroad (Moscow, Novosibirsk, the Republic of Moldova). Besides the modern methods of the hip joint endoprosthesis replacement, knee joint endoprosthesis replacement courses take place. So, for example, based on Adult Orthopedic Department a surgeon’s show case using the Evolution MP knee joint endoprosthesis  was made. This type of endoprosthesis is the most modern from the point of view of biomechanics. It was implanted in the Russian Federation for the first time. A visit of specialists from other cities of Russia, as well as of Belarus, is expected in the nearest time.
